A quick Saturday-night one-liner if you run into slow performance/boot issues with your PVS targets and you are using shared storage, move the vDisk files (VHD, AVHD, and PVP) local to the Provisioning Server. That way your Stream Process won’t have to travel through the wire to read VHD blocks of data! If that improves performance drastically, you will at least know to concentrate your troubleshooting efforts on the connectivity to the storage device.
